Board of Directors

Dawn McCall is president of the Board. Residents with business and technical management skills, interested in the growth and strength of SPACO are invited to contact members to discuss election to the Board.

Dawn McCall, President

Dawn started as a volunteer taping special events in Shirley for SPACO. After learning how to run the system to live broadcast Board of Selectmen meetings, Dawn also took on the creation and posting of bulletins on the Channel 8 Bulletin board. A brief stint working cameras in the studio led to some basic technical director duties behind a couple of the local shows produced at SPACO. Now a member of the Board of Directors, Dawn would like to help drive the growth and expansion of local programming in Shirley.

Dawn grew up in Westford and after graduating from Westford Academy, left for the University of Delaware to study Animal Science. Upon return to New England 4 years later, Dawn got a job in the field of Laboratory Animal Science and currently works at Harvard University. Animals have remained one of the passions of Dawn’s life and the menagerie at home includes 7 large parrots, several parakeets, two young dogs and one housecat. Dawn is married to Mike Labbe, a SPACO technical support volunteer, and they’ve lived in Shirley for the past 20 years.
